Staff

The Staff at NFA make a good time in to a great time. We are passionate about working with young people in the outdoors and have bags of experience working in many different environments with different people. The team comprises some familiar faces from Blunts Barn as well as the new team from Moyles Court.

Kate Garner

During the winter, Kate teaches skiing in Val d’Isère, France, to children of all ages. She is passionate about working with children and brings an invaluable female touch to the team. She gets involved in all the activities and co-ordinates the hugely popular arts, crafts and cookery program.

Kate Garner - New Forest Activities
Justin Major

Justin has been working extensively in the outdoors for 8 years. He has worked mostly in the personal development and outdoor education sectors with school and youth groups in The Lake District, North Wales and Scotland. Justin has led expeditions to Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Croatia, Portugal and throughout the Alps and Pyrenees. He brings extensive experience to the team along with boundless enthusiasm.

BA Hons. French & Spanish; International Mountain Leader (IML); BCU level 4 Kayak; SPA Climbing Instructor; RYA safety level 4; GNAS qualified Archery Coach; REC First Aid; BASI Ski Instructor; APIOL.

Justin Major  - New Forest Activities
Giles Lewis

Giles is an Oxford graduate with a Blue in rugby union. He is a partner in a successful ski school in the French Alps where he also examines and coaches other instructors through their qualifications. He has 10 years experience leading residential summer camps for children in the Welsh mountains and brings all this experience to New Forest Activities.

Giles Lewis - New Forest Activities
Alex Lewis

Alex has worked in Val d’Isère, France for the past 6 years in management and administrative roles. She is a French graduate and has a post graduate diploma in Law. Alex does hours of invaluable work behind the scenes for New Forest Activities; her organisational and administrative skills are second to none.

Alex Lewis  - New Forest Activities
Paul Garner

Paul has been teaching skiing for the past 8 years and is a partner in a successful ski coaching centre in the French Alps. He has many years of experience working with young people both in language teaching and outdoor activities. Equally as happy making crispy cakes as he is exploring the challenges of the outdoors, he brings an infectious enthusiasm to the team.

Emily Dawkins

Emily is a student at Sheffield University. She is very keen on climbing and all outdoor sports.

First Aid qualified. Qualified lifeguard.

 
Will Andrews

Will has been involved in the running of NFA summer camps for the past couple of years. He brings youth and energy to the camp, as well as a high level of commitment to his singing duties.

First Aid trained.

Phillipa Morris

Phillipa and her sister Katie are both local girls who have helped out at NFA for the past few years. They are both very hard working and relate brilliantly to the younger children on site.

First Aid qualified. Qualified shallow water lifeguard.

 
Tom Dawkins

Tom is sports mad. Rugby, climbing, skiing, surfing, Tom is keen for all sports and is always willing to help others to share his passion.

SPA climbing instructor. First Aid qualified. Qualified lifeguard.

 
Katie Morris

All members of the NFA staff are fully qualified to run the activities offered. All staff are CRB checked.
